Welcome To Maplecreek Shelties!

Maplecreek is located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. We have been involved with shelties since 1993 and are members of both the Lochland Shetland Sheepdog Club of Minnesota, where Dawn is currently serving as Vice President, and the Minnesota Agility Club. Our dogs here compete in a variety of venues including conformation, agility and obedience. Above all else, they are our constant companions.

We do not breed often, but when we do, our focus is on health, temperament and sound structure. To learn more about the background of Maplecreek, click on the "About" link above.

Enjoy looking around the website and feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments.

Updates

February Nina takes 3rd place in Excellent B standard at the SPDTC show on 2/5/12.
January After taking December off for the holidays, Nina hit her first two trials of the New Year taking 1st in our first ever attempt at T2B, a 2nd place in Jumpers, a 4th place in standard and a 4th place in jumpers!
November Nina earned her AX in style at the SPDTC trial taking 1st place!
September Nina takes the summer off to rest her shoulder after straining her bicep. She returned to action in September and came in 5th out of 37 dogs in her Excellent Jumpers class! Ollie is stepping out of retirement for a moment to try his paw at a new sport, dog freestyle dancing.
June Nina attends the CPE Agility Nationals and qualifies 6 out of 9 runs. She took (1) 1st place, (2) 2nd places & (2) 4th places! She also earned her CL2-S title!
May Nina earns her MXJ! Unfortunately, Nina has a soft tissue injury to her left shoulder so will be off for a few weeks to heal. Fingers crossed she will be good to go by time the CPE nationals come around in June.

"I have sometimes thought of the final cause of dogs having such short lives and I am quite satisfied it is in compassion to the human race; for if we suffer so much in loving a dog after an acquaintance of ten or twelve years, what would it be if they were to live double that time?"
